Summer Scene

The lunette above the stage shows the two artists themselves. Robert Baker faces the viewer with his future wife, Eve, on the left. Edward Payne is on the right of the tree, courting a local girl.

The scene is complemented by two small murals above the doorways: a cockerel on the left and scarecrow on the right. Taken with the lunette mural, the set depicts a summer day from dawn to dusk.
