The Murals
The central portion of the mural above the entrance depicts the apple and raspberry pickers, busy harvesting the fruit. Woodgreen was renowned for its soft fruit growing at the time and the harvest dominated activity in Woodgreen during July.
In the distance, to the left of the apple trees, a lady can be seen leading two reluctant goats up the hill towards the Common.
The harvest mural is complemented on the left-hand side by an agricultural scene with cows being milked and, just round the corner, some pigs and piglets.
